Innovation in the classroom

  • What needs or areas of improvement and learning have I detected in my teaching?
After doing some research and think about the way I teach, definately I need more peer learning and collaborative learning in my classes. We always teach the same way, the traditional (at least in my School) and we have to change it
  • What projects have I found that might help me?

    • Project1: Is this castle haunted?

Castles and their ghosts, white ladies and knights. Residents and their lifes in the castle. We will discover and show our beautiful castles. We will tell and show legends connected with them. Together we will create a book of castle monsters. Students will come out with, write and illustrate their versions of legends, then we will gather them in one mutual book. We will make movies showing a chosen legend. We will come out with games in search of a treasure hidden in a castle. During the implementation of the project, the students will make new friends, they will increase their awareness of the worth of their cultural heritage and will discover european monuments.

  • Project 2: LYPS: Let Your Passion Shine

The main aim of this project is to explore pupils’ potential and discover their talents. Helping children to discover what they are good at promotes healthy self-esteem and is essential to their future success. The children need to try many things before they gravitate toward a set of skills that involve their own abilities, therefore we will create opportunities for kids to explore different objects, activities and people. After a short introductory phase we will announce a competition. Our pupils will form international teams with members from all the partners, and work cooperatively with a vested interest in each other’s learning as well as their own. The teams will play games, carry out tasks, share their discoveries and champion each other, celebrate each other’s successes, and learn to work together regardless of ethnic backgrounds. The Web 2.0 will be at the heart of our communication and co-operation.
